Big Park is in the Village of Oak Creek (VOC)!

Big Park is the name that was given by the early settlers of the area. It is the census-designated place in Yavapai county that dates back to the 1800s. The name evolved from the large open area, into the Village of Oak Creek (VOC). Pictured above, it is surrounded by the iconic Courthouse Butte, Bell Rock, and other picturesque red rock buttes and canyon areas. The scenic area of Bell Rock is at the north end of VOC and the village is surrounded by the Coconino National Forest. On the south end of the township, you will find a Forest Service Visitor Center that has been recently constructed. The zip code for Big Park is a Sedona zip code of 86351. In many instances because of the postal code that is tied to Sedona, residents will have their mail addressed as Sedona. Big Park and Pine Valley are separate communities within a larger community. Some areas within Big Park allow Short-term Rentals or STR. If being able to rent a home or condo as an STR interests you, make sure you do your “due diligence” to see if STR is allowed. No STR is allowed in the Village of Oak Creek but Big Park is a separate area.

The postal zip code of 86351 is for all areas south of Sedona. including Village of Oak Creek, VOC, Big Park, and Pine Valley. You will find that residents will use these terms interchangeably when speaking or writing about the area or a particular address. Sedona is also acceptable.
