Last Day of Summer - Southern Belle and Lemonade

It’s The Last Day Of Summer In Arizona!

Know what that means?

Last Day of Summer Beautiful Cactus

In general, many Zonies will be glad that the triple digits will be waning (soon).  Bring on the 90ºs.  In the next month, the Snowbirds will be setting up camp and enjoying that wonderful warm winter sunshine that you only get in the sunbelt states.  The most popular states for that migration of Snowbirds are Florida and Arizona.

Sedona is a transition area.  Many people have second homes in Sedona to get away from the extreme temperatures of the cold or very warm climates.   Lately, temperatures have been in the 80ºs with much cooler temps starting in the high 50ºs and 60ºs during the early morning.

In Soldier’s Pass West Sedona, as in some past years,  our last day of 100.3º was on August 5th, 2021!  When there is a lot of thunderstorms, the temperatures rarely go over 100º.  This year *Sedona experienced the 4th best monsoon in the last 11 years.   The Cottages At Coffeepot and Soldiers Pass average 6.41 inches of rain during monsoon (June thru September). This year so far, there has been 7.63 inches of rain. The monsoon ends on September 30th.
