46.5º is warmest mean temp for a January since recording in 2010. It is very close to the February mean temperature for last year.

Sedona Weather for January 2018 – While the rest of the country east of Arizona is having extremely cold weather and freezing conditions, our Arizona and Sedona January was warmer than most. The high and low days for January was 3º warmer than last year and the average was 6.5º higher than last year. We did get 1.76 inches of rain in January and just a trace of snow.
What Stands Out…
Last year we recorded 300 days of sunshine. This year,there were 26 days of sunshine in January. This is eight days ahead of last year’s pace. There was only 4 days with rain. This is probably why we are ahead of last year’s sunshine numbers.
Another reason why the temps were more mild this January was the number of days below 50º for a high. There were only three compared to fifteen last January.
Overall – Sedona is a wonderful place to live every season of the year. You get seasons but they are bearable compared to other parts of the country. So, if you are in need of thawing out, Sedona might be an option for you!
