Seniors age 62 and up can purchase a lifetime "America the Beautiful" pass for only $10. However that price is going up. President Obama signed the National Park Service Centennial Act into law on his way out of office in 2016. So the price of the America the Beautiful Lifetime pass for Seniors aged 62 and up will be rising 700% !
How This Affects Sedona
In some areas of the Red Rock Country you need to display a Red Rock Pass when you park your vehicle. Any interagency America the Beautiful Pass will also be accepted. the Grand Canyon is pictured above, but it is not the only place you can use an lifetime senior pass. Besides Red Rock Country, National Monuments accept the pass. Montezuma's Castle and V-Bar-V Heritage Site also accept the pass. Find out more information here. Currently, you can go to the Red Rock Ranger District and Visitor Contact Center to purchase any pass you may need. The address is 8375 SR 179 Sedona AZ 86351. it is located on the outskirts of the Village of Oak Creek. Phone (928) 203-7500 - Administrative Office Hours - 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday - Visitor Center Hours - 9 am to 4:30 pm - 7 days a week.
Seniors should purchase the lifetime pass as soon as possible to avoid the price increase.
