Christmas In The Park - You will be greeted by the traditional tumbleweed snowman. The weather will probably be much cooler by then. Hot cider and cookies will be served to all. Marvel at the vintage holiday decorations that will be visible all over the museum as the fire glows hot in the fireplace. Make a corn husk doll just like the settlers did back in the 1800's! Some old-timers will be located throughout the museum telling stories of yesteryear. Local authors will be available to sign books in the Museum Gift Shop. On a side note, the architecture of some of the original buildings besides wood structures was stone or carved stone blocks, usually with tin roofs. There are many of these types of buildings still standing today. Even though h istory is only around 150 years old, it is rich and can be found all around us. Old homesteads can be accessed by 4 wheel drive vehicles in remote areas.
