Celebrating 25 Years of Sedona Film Festival – Starts February 23rd 2019

Sedona AZ Feb 23, 2018 – The Sedona International Film Festival will begin festivities on Saturday February 23rd. It all started back in 1995, with a modest 3 day festival. The festival is rich in history. Every year it has grown larger and larger.

Sedona Weather January 2019 Summary – New Years Day Was Coldest Day So Far!

January came in with very cold temps and a half inch of snow as well! Last January (2018), there was one day that was in the 70ºs and 25 days in the 60ºs.  That January was the warmest in Sedona in 9 years. The temps were spring like temps which actually got our spring off to an early start. But this January the weather was a little colder….

Sedona Weather Final December 2018 – 312 Days of Sunshine!

Sedona had 312 days of sunshine in 2018!  December was the only month all year that the high temp did not get into the 70ºs. The high was 67º. There were 24 days that dipped below freezing in the early morning. There was 1 day that was below 32º as a high temp. That day happened to be New Year’s Eve (31.8º).  On New Year’s Eve day, Sedona got over 5 inches of snow! The snow is already evaporating on New Year’s Day.

September 2018 – Sedona Weather Stats Update and Summary

September 2018 Sedona Weather Stats Update – Our weather transition to Fall starts in mid-August. So by September the low temps are in the mid- 50ºs. You can feel the crisp air and smell the pine. It is wonderful! We did have 8 more days over last year above 90º which brought the mean temp up by 3º. But by evening, the windows were open allowing the AC to be turned off. There were a couple of days we did not even turn the AC on. One day had a high of 67º! That particular day we got a cold rain. Total rain for the month was .78 inches.
